20 cars for Nürburgring Test and Press Conference

Some of the teams and drivers competing in the 2015 World Endurance Championship will be heading to the Nürburgring for a test session organised by Toyota Racing on the 27/28 July ahead of the first visit to Germany by the WEC on 28-30 August.

Toyota, Porsche, Audi and Bykolles will each be fielding one car to give the German fans a first glimpse of the LMP1 machinery that will be seen at the legendary Nürburgring circuit.  They will be joined by six LMP2, five LMGTE Pro and 5 LMGTE Am class cars, bringing the total to 20 across the two-day test.

Drivers include Germany’s André Lotterer (Audi), Timo Bernhard (Porsche), Marc Lieb (Porsche), reigning World Champions Anthony Davidson and Sébastien Buemi (Toyota), winner of the 2015 24 Hours of L e Mans for Porsche Nick Tandy, and American actor-turned-racing driver Patrick Dempsey.

On Tuesday 28 July the World Endurance Championship will hold a press conference to outline the plans for the world championship’s first visit to Germany.  All members of the media are invited to attend but please contact the WEC Media Manager to confirm your attendance HERE.

Members of the public are also invited to attend the test days at the Nürburgring with free grandstand access on both days between 10h00 and 16h00.
