The 6 Hours of Silverstone reached the halfway point with the no8 Toyota TS040 of Nicolas Lapierre leading the race by 53 seconds from  the no7 TS040 of Kazuki Nakajima to head a Toyota 1-2.   Brendon Hartley was a distant third in the no20 Porsche 919, two laps adrift of the two Toyota’s and two laps ahead of Benoit Treluyer in the no2 Audi R18.  With the demise of the no14 Porsche and no1 Audi, these four factory cars are the remaining entries in the LMP1-H category.

The sole LMP1-L remaining runner is nr12 Rebellion Racing Lola-Toyota of Nick Heidfeld, the German just one lap behind  the Audi.

In LMP2 the nr37 SMP Racing of Anton Ladygin went off at the exit of T9 and into retirement.  This left two contenders in the LMP2 battle with the nr47 KCMG of Matthew Howson leading by a 71 second line over the no26 G Driver Racing Morgan of Roman Rusinov.
