ARC Bratislava announces 2021 driver line-up

Slovakian LMP2 Team ARC Bratislava has confirmed its driver line-up for the No. 44 Ligier JSP217 – Gibson car as part of the team’s debut FIA WEC campaign.

Miro Konôpka, team owner and the most experienced driver, will contest all six rounds of the 2021 WEC season. The 59-year-old Slovakian will start his fifth 24 Hours of Le Mans race later this year.

British driver Oli Webb will share driving duties with Konôpka in 2021.  However, with Webb unable to make Spa due to other race commitments in the UK he will be replaced by fellow Englishman Darren Burke for the WEC season-opener.

Burke has been competing with ARC Bratislava since 2017, when ARC Bratislava dominated the LMP3 class in the Asian Le Mans Series.

Tom Jackson will also join the team for Spa-Francorchamps. The 24-year-old is an experienced British GT driver and last year finished second in the GB Porsche Sprint Challenge.

Round 1 of the WEC, the TOTAL 6 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps, will take place in Belgium from 29 April – 1 May.
