Ferrari will start from pole position for tomorrow’s Lone Star Le Mans race at Circuit of the Americas, the fifth round of the 2026 FIA World Endurance Championship.
Antonio Giovinazzi lapped in 1m52.445s to reprise his 2024 pole in the #51 Ferrari AF Corse 499P. Remarkably Jack Aitken in the #38 Cadillac Hertz Team JOTA entry posted exactly the same time as Giovinazzi to the final thousandth of a second. Giovinazzi takes the pole however, as he set the time first.
The championship leading duo of Robin Frijns and Rene Rast will start the race from 13th position after a difficult qualifying session
In the earlier qualifying session to get the ten Hyperpole participants selected, Nicklas Nielsen claimed the fastest lap on 1m52.020s in the #50 Ferrari AF Corse 499P Hyperpole

The #23 Heart of Racing Aston Martin took its second pole position of the 2026 WEC season as Eduardo Barrichello punched in a best lap of 2m05.160s
That time proved to be 0.124s quicker than the sister Aston Martin Vantage driven by Zacharie Robichon in the LMGT3 Hyperpole session. The result ensured that Aston Martin completed a hat-trick of poles after #27 took top spot in Le Mans and the #23 claimed pole in Sao Paulo.
Stefano Gattuso set a 2m06.331s lap in qualifying to top the times, proving to be 0.3s quicker than the #61 Iron Lynx Mercedes-AMG LMGT3 car driven by Martin Berry.
