Porsche Penske took its first victory of the 2025 FIA World Endurance Championship season as the #6 Porsche Penske team of Kévin Estre, Laurens Vanthoor and Matt Campbell mastered mostly wet conditions at the Lone Star Le Mans event at COTA today.
Reigning WEC champion Estre led home the #50 Ferrari AF Corse car to seal the win, while the #94 Peugeot TotalEnergies 9X8 took its first podium of the season.
Taking the LMGT3 laurels was the #54 VISTA AF Corse trio of Davide Rigon, Thomas Floor and Francesco Castellacci after a thrilling finish that saw Region wrest the lead from Proton Competition’s Ben Barker.
Rigon used an inspired switch to slick Goodyear tyres to haul in the Ford Mustang and make the decisive move with just four minutes remaining.
The #95 United Autosports McLaren and #46 Team WRT BMW rounded out the rostrum.
