Corvette Racing signs Magnussen and Rockenfeller for COTA and Sebring

Corvette Racing has today confirmed that Jan Magnussen and Mike "Rocky" Rockenfeller will drive the No. 63 Chevrolet Corvette C8.R for the upcoming FIA WEC races at COTA and Sebring.

The car will feature a primary yellow livery with silver accents. It will be the first race experience for both drivers in the new Corvette, which made its competition debut at last month’s Rolex 24 At Daytona.

“These two events provide us the opportunity to obtain further learnings on the new Corvette C8.R while competing against world-class competition,” explained Mark Kent, Chevrolet Director of Motorsports Competition. “Having experienced Corvette drivers such as Jan and Mike in the car will provide us a good opportunity to contend for the win in the very competitive FIA World Endurance Championship.”

Denmark's Magnussen spent 16 years with Corvette Racing and is a 24 Hours of Le Mans class winner on four occasions. Germany's Rockenfeller has also won Le Mans, and triumphed with Corvette Racing at the 2017 Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring alongside Magnussen and Antonio Garcia.

Don’t miss your chance to see the Corvette Chevrolet C8.R in action at the Lone Star Le Mans later this month (22-23 February). Tickets start from $39 and can be purchased HERE.
