Demspey Proton Racing Porsches penalised

Following post-race technical checks, the Dempsey Proton Racing Porsche 911 RSRs, No.77 and No.88, were found not to be in conformity of the regulations concerning minimum refuelling time and have both been awarded time penalties.

Competing in the LMGTE Am class, the No.88 car of Satoshi Hoshino, Giorgio Roda and Matteo Cairoli took the chequered flag in second place.  The subsequent penalty of 76 seconds for the No.88 (Stewards Decision No.25) drops it to 5th in class, and the penalty of 31 seconds for the No.77 (Stewards Decision No.24) places it 8th in class.

The penalties promote the No.90 TF Sport Aston Martin Vantage to second in the LMGTE Am classifications, and the No.98 Aston Martin Racing Vantage will take points for third position.

There are two further Stewards Decisions (No.26 and No.27) regarding an alleged infringement of the technical regulations by Dempsey Proton Racing which will be heard at the next round, the 6 Hours of Shanghai after further investigations.  The results therefore remain provisional.
