Japanese Fans Crowd into Fuji for the First WEC race in Japan

Race day dawned at Fuji International Speedway and by 7am Japanese fans were queuing to enter the circuit.  Many slept in their cars to ensure they got a good place in the main grandstand or on the spectator banking.

Thousands of fans crowded into the pitlane for the autograph session with each of the team garages and were swamped by happy, smiling faces all searching for an autograph from their favourite drivers.  In the grandstands banners are being displayed supporting their team or driver, with banners for Sato, Nakano and Nakajima but also for McNish, Wurz, Lotterer and Fisichella amongst others.

The build up for the main event now begins with the cars heading to the grid to begin the procedures for the start of the 6 Hours of Fuji at 11am.
