KCMG confirms Le Mans driver line up

KCMG confirms Le Mans driver line up
29/04/2016

Chinese team KCMG has confirmed the driver line up with which it will defend its LMP2 crown at the Le Mans 24 Hours in June.

British duo Richard Bradley and Matt Howson will join with Japanese driver Tsugio Matsuda in the No.47 ORECA 05 Nissan for the team’s one-off LMP2 entry in 2016.

KCMG has an LMGTE Am entry in this season’s FIA World Endurance Championship, a Porsche 911 RSR in the hands of Christian Ried, Wolf Henzler and Joël Camathias.  However, the Hong-Kong registered team also has a guaranteed entry on the coveted list of those wishing to take part in the world’s most prestigious sports car race, thanks to its success in France in 2015.

Team owner Paul Ip told Britain’s Autosport magazine: "These are the three drivers who gave us our first World Endurance Championship victory at Austin in 2014. We wanted to use drivers who have been with us before."

Richard Bradley is moving across to KCMG from Manor's No.45 car which does not have an entry for Le Mans, but which will be present at all other WEC rounds this year.
