Le Mans testing programmes now well underway

Porsche LMP Team has just completed a four-day test at Motorland Aragon in Spain, in the company of Ford Chip Ganassi Team UK, with a marathon 8,581 km being completed in readiness for the 24 Hours of Le Mans on 17/18th June.

Porsche LMP Team has just completed a four-day test at Motorland Aragon in Spain, in the company of Ford Chip Ganassi Team UK, with a marathon 8,581 km being completed in readiness for the 24 Hours of Le Mans on 17/18th June. 

The test included a 36-hour non-stop race simulation for the Porsche 919 Hybrid and the team’s six regular drivers plus official reserve driver Marc Lieb took part.  As a reference, the distance covered in last year’s race was 5,233km.

Next week Toyota Gazoo Racing heads to Spa-Francorchamps for a two-day endurance test with the TS050 HYBRID.  Also due to take part in Belgium will be G-Drive and TDS Racing, Jackie Chan DC Racing, Aston Martin Racing and Ford Chip Ganassi Team UK.

All WEC teams are now in the final stages of preparation for the third round of the 2017 FIA WEC, which begins with the traditional official Le Mans Test Day on Sunday 4th June.
