Following evaluation of the performance of all the LMGTE cars during the 2013 season, and the technical data supplied by manufacturers before the 2014 season, the FIA Endurance Committee has issued Balance of Performance adjustments ahead of the 6 Hours of Silverstone.
The Aston Martin Vantage V8 has received a 15 kg weight break compared to the configuration in which it competed at the end of last year, but it will now have to also run with exactly the same ride height (55mm) as all the other manufacturers in the LMGTE Pro and Am categories.
Porsche’s 997-based 911 GT3 RSR has been given a 0.6 mm air restrictor increase, while the German manufacturer’s 991-model 911 RSR – as run by Porsche Team Manthey – will run in the same configuration seen in last year’s season finale, the 6 Hours of Bahrain.
The above changes have been made for both the GTE-Pro and GTE-Am classes.
