Porsche reinstated LMGTE Pro pole position at Spa

Following a stewards’ decision, Porsche GT Team will now start from pole position in the LMGTE Pro category at today’s TOTAL 6 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps.

The No. 92 Porsche 911 RSR-19 shared by Kevin Estre and Michael Christensen was initially penalised after Estre’s laps were deleted following abuse of track limits during qualifying.  This saw the No. 97 Aston Martin Racing Vantage AMR awarded pole position.

However, following a further investigation it was decided that Estre’s laps were satisfactory and would be reinstated.

Porsche GT Team will now lead the LMGTE Pro crews going into today’s race with Aston Martin Racing’s No. 97 and No. 95 cars starting second and third respectively.

During the same investigation, it was also confirmed that the following laps would also be reinstated:
•    No. 56 Team Project 1: Matteo Cairolo
•    No. 90 Salih Yoluc: TF Sport
•    No. 91 Porsche GT Team: Gimmi Bruni
