LMP1 Privateer champion Rebellion Racing is pleased to announce that it has chosen Dunlop as its tyre partner for the FIA World Endurance Championship*.
Dunlop announced last year that it will return to the top category of the WEC in 2016 and, after extensive testing, Rebellion Racing was assured that Dunlop could provide competitive tyres in the LMP1 category. This decision brings back open tyre competition to the LMP1 category for the first time since 2012.
Rebellion Racing becomes Dunlop’s official LMP1 development partner and a dedicated development and testing programme is already in place. The objective of the coming tests will be to define Dunlop tyres specifications, tailored to suit the Rebellion R-One LMP1 cars, for the 2016 FIA WEC season.
