The renewal of the long-term partnership extends the broadcaster’s association with elite international endurance racing beyond 20 years, and incorporates all races on the FIA WEC calendar, including the legendary 24 Hours of Le Mans.

WBD’s linear channels Eurosport (mainland Europe) and TNT Sports (UK and Ireland) as well as streaming platforms HBO Max and discovery+ will provide extensive access to every lap of every race, transporting viewers right to the heart of the action in real time.

“Motorsport is in our DNA, and we are committed to connecting fans with the biggest races on the planet throughout the season,” commented Trojan Paillot, SVP of Sports Rights Acquisitions & Syndication at Warner Bros. Discovery.

“The history, prestige and pulsating performances we witness at Le Mans each year transcend the sport itself and captivate viewers in every corner of the globe. As a long-term and trusted partner to FIA WEC, we are excited to continue our mission of bringing coverage of every race to new and larger audiences for many years to come through our passion, expertise and storytelling ability that celebrate the sport, teams and drivers.”

Automobile Club de l’Ouest (ACO) President, Pierre Fillon and FIA WEC CEO, Frédéric Lequien both similarly welcomed the extension.

“World-class broadcasting has been a key driver in the growing global appeal of the 24 Hours of Le Mans and FIA World Endurance Championship in recent years, bringing the intensity of the racing and the human stories behind it to fans all around the world,” observed Fillon.

“Warner Bros. Discovery has played a central role in showcasing endurance racing across Europe and Asia-Pacific, proving to be a consistently creative, collaborative and forward-thinking partner. As the 24 Hours of Le Mans and FIA WEC continue to evolve and reach new audiences, we are excited to keep raising the bar together.”

“The FIA World Endurance Championship continues to go from strength-to-strength, with both on-site and broadcast audiences increasing year-on-year,” echoed Lequien. “Warner Bros. Discovery has been a loyal and enthusiastic partner to the series since FIA WEC’s inception, and we are delighted to extend our longstanding relationship.

“With major events across four continents, the series continues to draw ever-greater crowds, demonstrating a growing global appetite for endurance racing. This new agreement ensures that fans in these key territories can enjoy live, comprehensive and high-adrenaline coverage of every race for many years to come.”

The quest for honours will begin once again with a ten-hour curtain-raising contest in Qatar on 28 March, followed by races at Imola (19 April), Spa-Francorchamps (9 May), Le Mans (13-14 June), Interlagos (12 July), COTA (6 September) and Fuji (27 September) prior to concluding with the traditional eight-hour season finale in Bahrain on 7 November.
