The entrants for the 24 Hours of Le Mans are now all in place at the Circuit des 24 Heures and all the cars due to run in the official test sessions will have to be presented for technical scrutineering and administrative checks. Who must attend, and why, was explained in our previous article HERE.
The checks take place at the circuit on Friday 30th May (09h30-18h00) and Saturday 31st May (09h00-12h20) – unlike the official Scrutineering (more commonly called the ‘Pesage’) for the race itself, which is a great event held in the centre of Le Mans in the Place de la République. A full list of what cars will be presented and when in preparation for Sunday’s test can be found HERE.
The 13.629km track used for the 24 Hours of Le Mans is largely made up of public roads. These are closed to traffic from 04h00 on Sunday morning, 1st June, and the test sessions will be held from 09h00-13h00 and 14h00-18h00.
