AF Corse
With AF Corse’s win in the Bahrain 6 Hours, Ferrari has made mathematically sure of winning the constructors’ title in the first edition of the FIA World Endurance Championship with two races remaining. The Ferrari #51 has now taken five victories this year in the hands of Giancarlo Fisichella and Toni Vilander, who this time replaced Gimmi Bruni who was racing in the GT Open at Monza.
There was further justifiable cause for pride in the GTE Am category. Robert Kauffman, Rui Aguas and Brian Vickers took their No 61 AF Waltrip 458 Italia GT2 car to the second step on the podium. At times, the trio even led the race, showing they had a very strong pace, as already seen from the fact that Aguas had taken pole position.
