Where to watch the 8 Hours of Bahrain from home

The final round of FIA WEC Season 8, the 8 Hours of Bahrain, will be aired live by several broadcasters including Eurosport, Fox Sports, BT Sport and la chaine L’Equipe.

Numerous titles are set to be determined in Bahrain this weekend including the LMP FIA World Endurance Drivers’ Championship, the LMGTE FIA World Endurance Drivers’ Championship and both the FIA Endurance Trophies for GTE Am Teams and Drivers’ titles. The 8 hour race will commence at 14h00 local time on Saturday 14 November. 

In the UK, BT Sport will televise the entire race as it happens from 11h00 GMT and in France, fans can watch the first two hours live plus the final hour on la chaine L’Equipe. The race will also be shown live in its entirety in Germany on Sport 1+.

Eurosport will air the opening 2.5 hours of the race across Europe in addition to the final two hours, while Motorsport TV will show the full 8 hours of action live pan Europe.  

New-for-2020 WEC broadcaster ORF will show the majority of the race live in Austria.  Ziggo in Netherlands will broadcast the full event live as well as Polsat in Poland, while Viasport in Sweden, Norway and Finland will also show the race in its entirety (via Viaplay). 

MotorTrend – a linear network dedicated to auto enthusiasts – will broadcast the opening 90 minutes and final hour live across the USA and the Caribbean.

Residents in South America can watch the majority of the action live from Bahrain via Fox Sports 3. Eurosport will also broadcast half of the race live pan Asia-Pacific and in Australia. Meanwhile, SuperSport will air the full race live as part of a pan-regional deal in Africa.  

J Sports will broadcast the race live to Japanese fans who can tune in to see how home drivers Kamui Kobayashi and Kazuki Nakajima fare as they battle it out for the 2020 LMP FIA World Endurance Drivers’ Championship title.  Finally, fans of Toyota Gazoo Racing’s Brendon Hartley in his native Zealand can watch all the action on Sky.

As always, full coverage on the FIA WEC app will be available worldwide.  The official WEC app has English commentary on its live transmissions and official WEC highlights shows, with Allan McNish giving his expert insights.  The 2013 World Endurance Champion will be joined by experienced commentary duo Martin Haven and Graham Goodwin for this round while Duncan Vincent will support the team direct from the pitlane.  For more information about the WEC app, click HERE.
